My Songs

This is all I have available to share at the moment. This was one of the first songs I wrote after I learned to play the guitar. It’s from way back in 2009 when I was playing drums with the Mike Wagoner Band. Man, I’d love to go back to those summers.

I’ll never forget this day in my front yard. I recorded the guitar and one vocal, then drums and another harmony vocal. I edited the audio tracks in Garage Band and brought it all together in iMovie.

The music was inspired by my friend Thom Shepard and his song “Cheaper to Keep Her.” The lyrics were based on a joke I’d heard about a guy whose wife did the mowing because he was… well, you’ll just have to listen to find out what made him special.
